Web Content Solutions - Overview
TickerPlant offers an exhaustive range of content solutions right from simple scrolling stock tickers to full-scale market-oriented data points. These web solutions are completely customizable and can be , easily embedded directly into your web pages with the existing content. It comprises only a single line of code for quick installation and fast-loading efficiency. Javascript technology allows for ease of integration without any complicated or time-consuming development work at your end. The market snapshot products are fully compatible with Javascript-enabled browsers. Each of these Sub-Systems can have their own User Database and Independent Control and yet they can receive real-time feeds/delayed directly from TickerPlant Servers. TickerPlant systems provide Vertical Scaleability wherein different Sub-Systems can co-exist together and each sub-system can support millions of users.

Components are multi-threaded and mutexed to a high degree of granularity, thus taking full advantage of hardware and operating systems.

TickerPlant's on-shelf robust feed handles applications, process and store reference market data such as instruments, corporate actions, listings, etc. Applications to handle the datafeed processes and stores in the Asset Control repository in data models that represent the feeds data structures.

TCP Based
The feeds are streamed over the TCP/IP, wherein the Feed Adaptor uses TCP/IP socket library to pass messages between the TickerPlant server and the remote end over an duplex connection, whereby a client can initiate a connection with the adapter where it allows traffic of data to flow and remains open for as long as required. The adapter sends and receives raw data over TCP sockets and uses only a minimal protocol using message framing which is fully configurable.

Over the TCP/IP, the feed adaptor makes available Request Only Messages and Request-Response Messages. Data delivery is accomplished through a proprietary transport protocol that allows end-users to subscribe to the data in which they have an interest.

Dedicated FTP Server Access
TickerPlant provides information from various exchanges data in CSV file formats via FTP protocol. These CSV files will be deposited in the TickerPlant FTP server at delayed fixed intervals. The FTP server is maintained by TickerPlant and the feed subscribers are provided with authentication details through which their applications can fetch the data CSV files from the FTP servers.

TickerPlant provides market snapshot data at a fixed delayed interval by depositing structured data files to designated destination folders in the TickerPlant FTP server.

TickerPlant provides data through their own FTP servers. There may be instances where TickerPlant can deposit the files directly into the Subscribed Users' FTP servers depending on the requirement. The subscribed users will have to obtain the suitable connectivity i.e. via Internet or setting up a point-to-point lease line method to TickerPlant FTP servers for receiving the datafeed. The feed subscribers or the information Subscribed Users will have to develop their software application for processing the data received from TickerPlant servers.

HTTP Web Pages
HTTP server is used for providing data through the Internet. 1/5/10/15 -minute snapshot and End of Day price quotation is available through this mode of delivery. The client will be provided with a login ID for accessing the server and downloading the data.

Web Service API
Our Web Service API is a generic high-level interface to communicate with TickerPlant Server to receive delayed feed for exchanges. It is a simple net interface and can be easily integrated with any type of Application Environment.

The Transport Protocol used by the TickerPlant Web Service API is SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol). The TickerPlant Web Service API uses a Request/Response Mechanism which means, to receive the data application, the user must call the respective methods.
